GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

We sell furniture and interior décor through:

  • Online store
  • Showroom
  • Email and telephone

Placing an order implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.


2. Product Availability

The products displayed on the website are subject to:

  • Stock availability
  • Supplier confirmation
  • Production availability

Intense reserves the right to inform the customer, after the order is placed, of any unavailability or changes in delivery time.

Important recommendation:
Payment should only be made after confirmation from Intense regarding product availability and delivery time.

Additional notes:

  • Images are for illustrative purposes only
  • Variations in color, texture, or finish may occur
  • Natural materials are not uniform
  • All products comply with European legislation

Due to the nature of the products sold, many items are:

  • Made to order
  • Customized (dimensions, materials, finishes)
  • Specifically ordered from suppliers

In such cases:

  • Cancellation is not possible after production has started or the supplier order has been placed
  • Returns are not accepted, in accordance with applicable legislation (Article 17 of Decree-Law no. 24/2014)

3. Prices

All prices include VAT at the applicable legal rate.

Unless otherwise stated, prices do not include:

  • Transport
  • Assembly
  • Additional services

4. Orders and Payments

Order validation may require:

  • Full advance payment; or
  • Partial payment (deposit), with the remaining balance paid before shipment

Available payment methods will be presented at checkout.

An order is only considered valid after payment confirmation.

Payment methods:

  • Multibanco
  • MB Way
  • Bank transfer
  • Card (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX)

Payment options:

  • 100% upfront
    or
  • 50% upon order confirmation + 50% before delivery

Intense reserves the right to refuse orders.


5. Delivery Times

Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on:

  • Production
  • Logistics
  • Supplier availability

Intense undertakes to inform the customer of any significant changes.


6. Delivery

Deliveries are carried out by courier or own transport.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Delivery is made at ground floor level
  • Assembly or installation is not included

The customer must ensure:

  • Correct delivery address
  • Suitable access conditions

Failure to do so may result in:

  • Re-delivery
  • Additional costs

7. Inspection Upon Delivery

Upon receipt, the customer must:

  • Check the condition of the packaging and product
  • Report any damage on the delivery note

Transport damage claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery and supported by photographic evidence.


8. Right of Withdrawal (Returns)

In accordance with applicable law, the customer has 14 days to exercise the right of withdrawal, except in cases provided by law.

To be eligible for return:

  • The product must be in perfect condition
  • Without signs of misuse
  • In its original packaging

Return costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Exclusions from the right of return:

  • Customized or made-to-order products
  • Products specifically produced or ordered for the customer
  • Display items or products clearly identified as such

9. Refunds

After receiving and inspecting the returned product, the refund will be processed within a maximum of 14 days, using the same payment method, unless otherwise agreed.

Intense reserves the right to withhold the refund until the goods are received.


10. Professional Purchases (B2B)

If the purchase is made in a professional context (company, architect, designer, project):

It constitutes a B2B transaction (business-to-business).

In such cases:

  • The 14-day return right does not apply
  • Consumer protection laws do not apply

The right of withdrawal (Decree-Law 24/2014) applies only to consumers.

B2B transactions are governed by the Portuguese Civil Code, namely:

  • Articles 874 onwards (sale contract)
  • Principle of contractual freedom (Article 405)
  • Binding force of contracts (Article 406)

In professional purchases:

  • No unilateral cancellation is allowed
  • No refund obligation exists

Especially when:

  • The order has been confirmed
  • Payment has been made
  • Production has started or supplier delivery has occurred

Intense may refuse cancellations that imply:

  • Financial loss
  • Supplier-related costs

Alternative solutions may be considered:

  • Without legal obligation
  • Without prejudice to the company

11. Warranty

All products are covered by the legal warranty of conformity under Portuguese law.

In case of defect or non-conformity, the customer must contact Intense, describing the issue and, whenever possible, providing images.


12. Liability

Intense shall not be held liable for delays resulting from:

  • External factors
  • Transport companies
  • Force majeure situations

However, Intense is committed to supporting the customer in resolving any issue.
